Analytics Engineer

Let's start with the role

As an Analytics Engineer on a Business Intelligence team at Kaizen Gaming, you will be instrumental in driving our data-centric initiatives. Your work will enhance the accessibility, security, quality, and observability of our data, ensuring that insights are actionable and impactful for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Modeling and Integrity: Implement best practices in data modeling to maintain data integrity, develop robust test designs, and create detailed documentation.
• Business Requirements Translation: Work closely with the BI Analysts to translate complex business and functional requirements into scalable, operational solutions that meet our BI standards.
• Data Structure Implementation: Design and manage high-performance data structures to efficiently handle large volumes of data, tailored for BI reporting and analysis.
• Pipeline Development: Build and optimize data transformation pipelines using ETL/ELT processes to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
• Reporting and Visualization Enhancement: Collaborate with BI analysts to innovate reporting processes, automate self-service options, and improve production support for end-users.

What You’ll Bring

• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a relevant technical discipline with a focus on data.
• At least 2 years of experience in developing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong background in data modeling, including knowledge of star schema and dimensional modeling.
• Solid understanding of data quality and testing methodologies.
• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• A continuous improvement mindset, with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake).
• Proficiency in dbt for data transformation and modeling.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and experience working in agile teams.
• Understanding the betting and casino domains is a plus.
• Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau will be considered a plus.
