Automation Engineer to work for an iGaming company in Cyprus

About the role:
As an Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the digital transformation of the organization by identifying opportunities to replace manual, repetitive tasks with intelligent and scalable automation solutions. You will be responsible for designing end-to-end automation workflows that not only increase operational efficiency but also enhance data accuracy, reduce risk, and support strategic growth.
This role demands a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of both systems and processes. Youβll be expected to evaluate and recommend the right tools and technologies (such as RPA platforms, scripting languages, and cloud services), implement secure and robust integrations between systems, and establish standards and best practices for automation development and governance.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated systems and solutions for production, software, or other engineering functions.
- Identify and analyse business processes suitable for automation using tools such as Python, Power Automate, UiPath, Selenium, or equivalent.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks using tools such as Playwright.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand automation requirements and optimize existing systems.
- Create and maintain test scripts, software tools, and automated processes using Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Conduct feasibility studies and assist in the implementation of automation strategies.
- Work with engineers to ensure that automation systems integrate smoothly with the existing infrastructure.
- Document automation processes, methodologies, and best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in automation engineering or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, and Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, or similar tools.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Certifications in RPA platforms (UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere) is a plus.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.
