ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

SBC is looking for an enthusiastic and talented journalist to be based in Argentina as the company looks to expand its content team.

The role will involve work on  sbcnoticias.com and https://sbcamericas.com/

Furthermore, there will be editorial work to support a series of successful and growing gaming industry events that we organise throughout the year. We also have a number of large clients within the sectors for whom SBC provides news and feature content.

ABOUT YOU

You must have:

• Degree level qualification in journalism
• Native of business fluency in Spanish and English 
• Exceptional writing & grammar
• Exceptional news judgement
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Accurate spelling, grammar and punctuation
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
• Ability to grasp complex issues quickly and explain them in simple, concise language

It would be nice if you had:

• Interest in Gambling/Sports a big advantage
• 1-2 years of career experience preferred but not compulsory for the right candidate
• Experience of wordpress an advantage

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Building on the reputation for quality news coverage
• Producing concise and accurate copy according to house style and adhering to the strict guidelines 
• Creating and updating news content for the Website(s)
• Using and updating content management system
• Interviewing people in a range of different circumstances
• Seeking out and investigating via contacts, press releases and other media
• Attending a range of events, such as press launches, exhibitions and conferences - some international travel will be required, which will be discussed as and when required
• Supporting the conference production team (London and LatAM) in sourcing speakers and helping with the agenda for SBC events, including events in the region as well as conference sessions dealing with the region at other SBC events (i.e. Betting on Sports, Betting on Sports America)
• Building relationships with industry stakeholder across the region, and representing the client in a positive light consistent with its overall brand
