As a casual member of our Racing Data team, you will provide accurate live data for all racing services taking place during your defined shift. Liaise with suppliers, colleagues and customers to ensure an accurate and timely delivery of content and service from PA and contribute to live validation and service supervision when required.

 What you’ll be doing…  

                               

  • Pre-race data collection, preparation, and distribution.
  • Live betting and results processing for racing services.
  • Respond to Racing Customer Services and customer queries in a flexible, professional manner.
  • Liaising with third party suppliers and data providers.
  • Ensure that current standard operating procedures are adhered to for each service. 
  • Ensure that all live data issues affecting service are clearly communicated via recognized internal communication method (email or MS Teams) to Shift Leaders and Operations Manager in a timely manner for follow up.
  • Understanding of downstream customer impact and the importance of escalating live data errors immediately.
  • Horse Racing and Greyhound co-ordinating, including:
    1. Publishing advisory notifications.
    2. Checking, validating, and analysing live data.
    3. Liaising with correspondents and data providers.
    4. Adhering to daily check-sheets. 
  • Directly responsible for effective communication to suppliers, customers, and colleagues
  • Directly responsible for accuracy and quality of data distributed to PA customers by you.

 

Do you have…

 

  • A clear understanding of key betting concepts.
  • Ability to form and maintain betting markets using department resources.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst adhering to KPI targets.
  • Ability to understand & follow operational process.
  • Work within a 24/7, 365 days a year racing schedule.

 

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Basic DBS check, Adverse Financial check and ID check.
