Duties:
- Lead the design, deployment, and management of scalable, secure, and high-performing data solutions.
- Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines, integrating data across diverse sources.
- Drive optimisation of data models for analytics, reporting, and machine learning use cases
- Ensure adherence to governance, security, and compliance protocols.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to define platform strategy and data architecture.
- Mentor and manage a team of BI Developers and Data Engineers to cultivate innovation and high performance.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Experience:
- 7+ years in data engineering, analytics or BI.
- 2+ years in a Senior BI Developer or similar role.
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
- Exposure to large-scale data systems and cloud-based solutions
- Expertise in SQL, data modelling, and the Microsoft BI stack or equivalent.
- Proficient in building scalable pipelines and integrating data systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to lead multiple projects and mentor technical teams.
- Knowledge of sports betting or online gaming industry is a plus.
