Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Junior Trader to join one of the world’s largest global independent bookmakers which provides a full portfolio of online, mobile betting and gaming with a national retail store footprint.

 

As a Junior Trader, you will be part of the team responsible for the administration and risk monitoring of all sports and games products for both the retail and online betting operations. This will include monitoring event information, current odds, competitor pricing and product available, as well as store betting activity and customer betting activity.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Preparing Daily Soccer Coupons for Retail.
  • Monitoring betting activity and detecting, preventing, and reporting suspicious betting activity for Retail and Online operations
  • Liability, Risk monitoring and reporting daily.
  • Ensuring all limits are adhered too in retail and online.
  • Bet Approvals for retail stores up to agreed limits.
  • Monitoring Bonus Bets and Withdrawals and reporting any suspicious behavior. Ensuring all terms and conditions and internal policies are followed.
  • Assisting with Client Queries for Both Retail and Online via Phone or Email.
  • Creating, administration and monitoring of Price boost Events.
  • Competitor Analysis across all Products (Odds, Events, Markets, Fixtures, Offers). Provide feedback and suggestions on findings.
  • Customer product reviews and competitor analysis to identify available product limitations.
  • Constant monitoring on Early Betting and Local Soccer Pricing and Betting.
  • Monitor resulting times of Sport and Numbers Events. Report any unusual delays.
  • Ad hoc Reporting and Tracking of Products/Clients/Betting Trends where needed.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • 3 or more years of experience in a sports betting and fixed odds wagering environment.
  • Sound understanding of betting activities.
  • Analytical abilities and critical thinking to identify unusual activity.
  • Good mathematical skills and ability to calculate odds, margins, statistics and liabilities.
  • Ability to document and generate documentation and reports.
  • Strong knowledge of a range of different sporting codes and the rules that govern them, and an in depth understanding of both local and international soccer.
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Have excellent stakeholder communication skills and be able to maintain key relationships within the business.

  • A diplomatic and professional approach, able to gather and share information in an energetic and inclusive manner while dealing effectively with challenging situations
  • Strong working knowledge of basic Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Ideally passionate about Sports and Gaming.
  • The ability to work very flexible hours, days and shifts within a 7-day a week operation.
