PMO Project Manager (Maternity Cover)

Overview of the Role:

PMO Officer is the high level role within a PMO team responsible for the cross-company portfolio governance and tracking. Role takes charge of defining cross-company programme/initiative scope, coordinating departments/teams to deliver value and act as a central governance body to ensure implementation process is managed optimally within the frameworks of established work methodology. Role takes charge to centralize and track portfolio level status and report it to respective internal and external stakeholders, as well as handle programme/initiative related communication and meetings with respective stakeholders.

What you’ll do:

  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Track project progress and address deviations from the plan.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and issues to stakeholders regularly.
  • Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
  • Handle communication and collaboration with other teams to identify risks, effectively remove impediments and resolve dependencies;
  • Escalate critical issues to leadership and recommend solutions.
  • Promote and implement PMO methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
  • Ensure consistent use of project management standards across all projects.
  • Maintain project documentation and provide reports on PMO metrics.
  • Track project KPIs, such as cost, schedule, quality, and resource utilization.
  • Provide feedback and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • Work with Heads of Departments, Program Managers, Product Managers and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment;
  • Support and collaborate with the Head of PMO to define to define portfolio level objectives, strategy and roadmap;
  • Support and collaborate with Head of PMO to prepare quarterly reviews;
  • Track agile metrics for the portfolio and review them with relevant stakeholders;
  • Related duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring: 

Working Experience:

  • 3-5+ Project Management Experience;
  • Experience working with distributed teams;
  • Experience with project tracking and reporting process and tooling;
  • Experience working with cross functional teams in a technology domain.

Standard Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Atlassian tools (especially JIRA & Confluence);
  • Good understanding of Agile frameworks and their differences;
  • Proficiency in formal communication;
  • Proficiency in preparing and handling presentations;
  • Proficiency with common collaboration tools: Google Docs, Slack, Skype;
  • Advanced level of English Language;

Preferable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SAFe framework;
  • Proficiency in designing sequence diagrams, activity diagrams, flowcharts;
  • PMP/PSM or similar Certification.
