Position Summary

Product Manager designs, develops and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. Serves as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution. Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line.

Relationship and Account Management

  • Works closely with the Tennessee Lottery product management team as well as SG internal teams that have an impact on the design, execution and delivery of the instant product
  • Attends quarterly game planning meetings, focus groups and other scheduled meetings
  • Attend Weekly Account Status Call and Lottery Sales calls
  • Attend Lottery meetings and Focus Groups                         
  • All other duties as assigned

Sales Analysis

  • Creates product gap analysis focused on the Tennessee Lottery’s budgeted goals
  • Creates and maintains sales performance analysis for distribution to the Lottery and internal management
  • Utilizes analytics and research to inform game planning
  • Tracks product sales and inventory to ensure consistent flow of product and analyze inventory levels to ensure proper and (most importantly) timely re-ordering of games

Game Plan/Product Management

  • Manages instant game portfolio and game schedule on a day-to-day basis
  • Assist in the development of game specifications (working papers) and coordinates the components critical to the working paper development process, including font selection, layouts, parameters, prize structures, contract proofs, ticket samples, programming audit review, pricing, etc.
  • Review/Coordinate any necessary corrections relating to Working Pages from the customer with Account Executive and ensure contract delivery of games to the warehouse
  • Uses independent judgment to efficiently and effectively manage and prioritize the process flow of games from approved prize structure and conceptual art through working paper development, manufacturing, and delivery
  • Ensure all deliverables are generated and sent to the customer

Qualifications

Education

Bachelors degree in related field.


Years of Related Experience

Years of experience 0 to 2 years

  • Understanding of the instant product category including product planning, game development and best practices preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to translate analytics, research findings, strategic initiatives, and SG best practices into actionable game plans, designs, and prize structures
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy with the ability to be a customer advocate while respecting and protecting SG’s best interests
  • Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Solid presentation skills; must be articulate and able to defend point of view in customer interaction while maintaining objectivity
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Outlook
