On 14th May 2024, it was announced that Flutter would be moving its primary listing from the UK to the US, and its global operational headquarters from Dublin to New York (effective 31st May 2024).

Role Description:

The Global Finance Transformation Programme is a broad programme that is being rolled out to recognise and address necessary elevations as Flutter transitions into a US-SEC ecosystem as well as enabling future growth and scalability.

This role leads the planning, execution, and successful delivery of the Programme initiatives, overseeing the implementation of systems, processes, and organizational changes that enhance financial operations. This role acts as the central point for managing project scope, timeline, budget, and communication, ensuring that finance transformation projects meet their strategic objectives while aligning with broader business goals.

Responsible for:

  • Leading the approach and design on all projects, liaising closely with project managers, analysts and supplier managers/partner, sponsors, change managers, divisional leads. 
  • Define and manage scope and plans for the delivery, from inception, through delivery and to close-out effectively.
  • Manage all aspects of the Programme plan, ensuring milestones are met, dependencies managed (both internally and externally across programmes), budgets are managed and desired outcomes are achieved.
  • Supporting the Transformation Director to on programme Governance and risk management.
  • Engaging senior stakeholders across the business & developing a RACI and stakeholder map & engagement plan to support effective stakeholder management.
  • Proactively monitoring progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action as required
  • To align with the Shared Service Centre programme as well as other key areas of demand, for example Global Technology teams - to establish an integrated programme plan with key milestones and dependencies identified
  • To establish the appropriate governance structures, reporting processes, project management tools with risk, issues and dependencies managed
  • To deliver effective project updates, communications and reporting on programme progress.
  • To deliver best practice in delivery of both transformation outcomes and project quality excellence.

Key requirements:

  • 7+ years project/programme management experience
  • Prince or PMP qualification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
  • Superb organisational skills
  • Self-starter
  • Experience operating in a matrix management Project or Programme Management Delivery role
