Job Description
The PokerStars Project Manager will play a key role in by managing the successful delivery of cross tribe initiatives through effective planning, risk management, and communication. This role reports to the PokerStars Head of Delivery & Portfolio and involves working closely alongside colleagues across technology, product, commercial, and other multiple Business domains, who are located at a number of Flutter offices, including Toronto, Sofia, Leeds, Dublin and Cluj.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate cross-location, cross-function teams to deliver projects and initiatives.
- Create and ensure project plans are achievable, as well as identifies key dependencies within and external to the project.
- Monitor the progress of multiple concurrent projects and delivery flows and make agile adjustments to ensure successful completion.
- Identifies, tracks, and manages initiative risks and issues through to closure – ensures senior stakeholders are informed of progress and resolution.
- Adhere to Project Management frameworks (including the Product Creation Process) and best practices.
- Provide timely status reports to management; proactively communicate any delays or blockers.
- Relentlessly drive results and resilient when the initiative faces setbacks; resolve issues and provide the team with resolution and encouragement.
- Learns quickly when faced with new, unfamiliar, and changing situations; promotes continuous learning from both successes and failures, and shares lessons learned.
Skills and Capabilities:
- Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills, personal accountability, and ability to plan and multitask effectively.
- Experience working with various stakeholders with the ability to effectively lead initiatives and coordinate between teams to deliver on a common goal and manage expectations.
- Communicate effectively and credibly across a wide range of channels with senior stakeholders, ability to simplify complex issues/risks/plans with non-technical senior stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of software development process in large-scale e-commerce environment.
- Critical analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Deep understanding and experience with Agile methodologies.
- PM certification and/or project management experience with software/IT projects.
- Experience with Confluence, JIRA, and other development tools is an asset.
