This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with an interest in marketing to work in the fast-growing industry of sports betting and entertainment. The Sr. Analyst of Marketing Finance will be responsible for developing and managing the marketing budgets for a multi-million-dollar, multi-state operation. S/he will report to the VP of Marketing Finance & Operations and dotted line report into the corporate finance function at William Hill. A successful candidate will have demonstrated experience managing budgets and be capable of financial modeling in order to drive positive business insights and outcomes.
What You Will Do:
- Build, oversee, pace, and reconcile marketing budgets across multiple markets
- Create ad hoc marketing and financial analyses: new markets, new partnerships, project recaps, cost saving initiatives, etc.
- Liaise with finance team to close the books monthly: deliver detailed accrual files, variance analysis, financial reporting, account reconciliations
- Prepare executive updates for marketing department and executive leadership for the purposes of generating insights to aid in strategic decision making
- Develop scalable reporting dashboards, data visualization; seek to automate and streamline financial reporting to ensure a scaled, efficient approach
What You Will Need:
- Bachelorβs degree in finance or accounting; MBA or advanced degree a plus
- Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience
- Advanced model-building experience
- Excellent computer and analytical skills β with a deep understanding of Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with financial and/or accounting software
- Strong knowledge and experience applying the use of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Energetic, collaborative, a clear communicator, self-starter
- Ability to successfully complete a background and drug screen
- Interest in sports and/or sports betting, a plus
