We are seeking a Senior User Researcher to join our Customer Insights team at Happening, the technology powerhouse behind global online entertainment company Superbet. In this role, you will lead the research strategy and execution for key product pillars, partnering closely with product managers and VPs to identify their needs and translate them into actionable research plans that address both business and customer goals. You will also mentor junior researchers, delegating smaller research tasks based on their skills and the needs of the product teams, while focusing on high-level strategy, stakeholder collaboration, and delivering impactful insights that shape the direction of our products.
What you'll be doing:
Research strategy & leadership
- Own and lead the user research strategy for assigned product pillars, ensuring alignment of research outputs with organizational objectives.
- Create research roadmaps that directly feed into product backlogs.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to understand business priorities, define research questions, and translate them into actionable plans.
- Develop and advocate for user-centered insights that inform product design, development, and decision-making.
Execution & oversight
- Conduct high-impact research projects, including qualitative and quantitative studies, to uncover key customer insights.
- Delegate smaller research tasks to junior researchers, ensuring quality and alignment with the overall strategy.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their growth and ensuring efficient execution of delegated tasks.
Stakeholder collaboration
- Act as a trusted partner to product managers and product leaders, fostering stakeholder relationships to ensure constant alignment between the insights team and product.
- Communicate research insights in a compelling way, ensuring they are accessible and actionable for stakeholders.
- Champion a culture of user-centered design within the organization.
Continuous improvement
- Stay informed on the latest user research methodologies, tools, and best practices, incorporating them into your work.
- Contribute to the evolution of the research practice at Superbet, including improving processes and introducing innovative approaches.
We are looking for someone who has:
- 5+ years experience in user research, with a focus on leading strategy and execution at a senior level.
- Experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, ideally covering both evaluative and generative research.
- Experience working closely with product leaders and wider teams in a digital product environment.
- Demonstrated ability to turn business questions into actionable research plans.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present findings in a clear and impactful manner to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with research tools such as Qualtrics, UserTesting, Dovetail, or similar platforms.
Bonus points:
- Experience in the online gambling, gaming, or entertainment industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with agile product development practices.
