Reporting to the Director of SEO, the SEO Team Lead will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of SEO Strategists, developing and implementing effective SEO strategies, and driving organic traffic to our affiliate websites. You will play a crucial role in improving our online visibility, acquiring new customers, and achieving our business objectives.

YOUR CHALLENGE:

    • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of SEO specialists, providing guidance, support and performance feedback.
    • Foster a collaborative and high performing team environment.
    • Delegate tasks effectively and monitor progress.
    • Facilitate team meetings and knowledge sharing sessions.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies that align with our overall business goals.
    • Conduct in-depth keyword research, competitor analysis, and audience research to identify opportunities.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithms, and best practices in the iGaming industry.
    • Provide expert guidance on technical SEO, on-page optimisation, and off-page optimisation.
    • Oversee the implementation of SEO recommendations across our websites.
    • Liaise with the Technical SEO team to ensure proper website architecture, indexation, speed optimisation, and be able to communicate recommendations to the development team.
    • Optimise website content, ensure high quality content that’s engaging and relevant to our audience.
    • Collaborate with the content team to create SEO optimised content.
    • Develop and implement link building strategies to acquire high quality backlinks.
    • Manage relationships with industry partners
    • Explore and leverage any opportunities for natural links through PR, as well as opportunities such as online communities and forums.
    • Track, analyse, and report on SEO metrics, and provide regular reports to your team, as well as to your manager and stakeholders.

Leadership and team management responsibilities:

    • Managing team performance effectively through the practicing of ongoing performance management, including conducting performance reviews and regular 1-1 meetings
    • Leading by example by delivering positive results and being a visible Catena ambassador
    • Communicating effectively and ensures information is delivered in a clear and timely manner
    • Taking ownership of recruitment and selection for your team by working closely with HR and TA teams
    • Enabling team and individual growth from induction stage to ongoing learning and development
    • Any other adhoc tasks which may be assigned by management from time to time

TO DO IT, YOU WILL NEED:

    • 5+ years experience in the gaming, online gambling and sports sectors
    • 3+ years strong experience in SEO strategy and team management
    • Comfortable balancing shifting priorities while under deadline, maintaining attention to detail. 
    • Experience optimizing websites and landing pages with A/B and multivariate experiments
    • Solid knowledge and work experience with website development processes
    • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Data Studio and other industry standard SEO tools such as DeepCrawl, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Semrush, Analytics, SEO tools for excel, Google search console and Schema tool
    • Understanding of DNS, CDNs and web hosting infrastructure
    • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
    • Excellent project planning and management skill
    • Knowledgeable with SSR and CSR frameworks like REACT
