Purpose of the role:

We are looking for a Sponsorships and Media Manager to take care of enhancing our media presence and partnerships for talkSPORT BET & Betano brands. The Sponsorships and Media Manager is responsible for managing the marketing activity of 2 sports betting brands — TSB and Betano — each with its own USPs. The role ensures all media and sponsorship activities are strategized and executed to grow the brand visibility boosting the conversion.

The successful candidate will have a strong interest in sports media and a solid background in marketing activations, possess strong communication skills, and be adept at working with both internal teams and external partners to achieve brand marketing goals. Your objective will be to use existing brand marketing assets stand out in the competitive online gaming market through content updates, effective partnership activations, and consistent growth measurement, as well as sourcing new partnership and media opportunities.

This is a hands-on position suited for a person who is comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment and has experience in people management.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

Partnerships & Activations

Lead sports sponsorship campaigns and activations, ensuring all assets are fully leveraged to maximise brand visibility. 

Oversee the execution of partnership deliverables, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and optimising exposure. 

Develop and manage sports calendars and media plans, tracking performance and impact to drive continuous improvement. 

Maintain direct relationships with multiple clubs and stakeholders, providing strategic direction and hands-on support where needed. 

Manage brand ambassadors, integrating them into marketing campaigns and sponsorship activations to align with key moments in the sports calendar.

Sponsorship & Media Asset Execution

Oversee the use of media assets for talkSPORT BET, including radio, digital inventory, social content, and betting widgets. 

Ensure all sponsorship and media assets are executed effectively, driving maximum value and engagement. 

Track, measure, and report on asset performance to optimise future activations.

Content & Social Media

Direct the planning and execution of content strategies across social media, ensuring alignment with sponsorships and activations. 

Work closely with internal and external teams to produce engaging, brand-led content. 

Oversee PR initiatives, ensuring sponsorships, partnerships, and ambassador activity receive maximum exposure.

General

Establish data-driven decision-making, overseeing the team's reporting and analysis activities to inform strategy adjustments and improvements. 

Demonstrate strong leadership skills, not only guiding the existing team in their duties but also managing base activities and ensuring strategic goals are met. 

Strategic ownership of sponsorships and media plans while remaining hands-on and available to support the team in achieving their objectives.

Person Specification, Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in the online gaming industry or related fields, with specific expertise in the UK market. 

Experience in managing sponsorships, with a focus on sports, particularly football. 

Proven experience in commercial strategy, prioritising activities that generate significant revenue. 

Expertise in managing sports calendars and media plans, with an emphasis on measuring and reporting results to ensure brand visibility and growth. 

Proficient with SEO tools, tracking, and Google Analytics, utilising these tools to drive content management and ensure the website content remains current. 

Strong leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to inspire and manage a team towards achieving partnership goals. 

Data-driven individual, with a comprehensive understanding of measurement and reporting techniques to assess performance and outcomes effectively.
