About the Role
We are seeking a Strategic Initiative Manager, Risk and Policy to join our team. This role is pivotal in the successful execution of key initiatives in line with the organization’s long-term vision through collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, such as Compliance, Legal, Customer Care and Finance. This individual will own the development and deployment of cross-functional solutions from end to end and ensure the solutions achieve all required operational, regulatory and strategic objectives. This position will ensure that the organization’s processes and initiatives are designed and implemented in a way that supports operational excellence while minimizing inefficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Define scope, deliverables and milestones while taking ownership of the successful implementation of cross-functional projects 
  • Develop and deploy creative solutions while ensuring all objectives are being met 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are properly integrated and adhere to organizational standards and regulatory requirements 
  • Communicate and maintain close working relationships with leadership, and key stakeholders 
  • Present solutions to senior management, providing actionable recommendations based on data  
  • Anticipate and balance the needs and priorities of various stakeholders 
  • Solicit and incorporate feedback from all key stakeholders when problem solving to ensure solutions align with cross-departmental goals 
  • Provide oversight and ensure smooth implementation of initiatives without duplicating the work of other project management teams 
  • Report on initiative performance and alignment, suggesting improvements based on data and feedback from internal and external stakeholders 
  • Support corporate and Risk/Fraud strategy while driving change 

Qualifications  

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product, Strategic Delivery, or related field, preferably in the Gaming or Financial Services industry 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field 
  • Brings a company-first mindset to discussions and decision making 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization 
  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, fraud prevention methodologies and regulatory compliance 
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards in the online gaming and sports betting industry 
  • Strong ability to present information in a clear and concise manner  
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to deliver projects within deadlines and excellent time management 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 
  • Results oriented 

The annual salary range for this position is $98,200.00 to $128,900.00 Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.

Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements
 
As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations.  Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies.  Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment.  Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.

In addition, candidates must comply with and support the company's responsible gambling policies, procedures and initiatives.

Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
