At Kaizen, we operate across verticals that represent the connection with customers and our strategy for sustainable growth and seamless entertainment experiences. Each vertical (Sportsbook, Gaming, Account & Services, Rewards & Comms), as well as our core technology lines (Platform and International Expansion), consist of both Technology and Product teams. Site Reliability, Infrastructure, and Data & AI are included under Technology teams.
The Technology Manager works closely with the Head of Technology and leads a part of the technology function within the vertical. She/he is responsible for ensuring that delivery, performance and quality standards are met sustainably from both a people and product perspective.
As a Big Data Technology Manager you will:
- Lead two or more cross-functional data teams of approximately 10-30 people, setting performance goals, and ensuring the achievement of Objectives & Key Results (OKRs).
- Maintain the roadmap, ensuring alignment with the organization's business objectives and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with peers and key stakeholders from different product lines, to ensure high standards of delivery, quality and performance, while flagging potential obstacles and implementing process improvements.
- Ensure constant information sharing between all the teams under his/her charge of, as well as across the verticals.
- Develop and maintain best practices for data governance, quality, security and privacy , in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Enable scalable, secure, and cost-effective data solutions to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.
- Foster culture of continuous employee growth while ensuring high retention and engagement.
- Staff the team by prioritizing the needs, identify potential risks and be actively involved in the hiring process.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and career development opportunities for team members.
What youβll bring
- Bachelorβs degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system analysis or related field of study, or equivalent experience;
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in a similar position, having led data / analytics teams;
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, negotiation and decision-making;
- Strong leadership skills;
- Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills;
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
