Finance Data Analyst Level 2

Are you a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a passion for data analysis? Derivco is seeking a skilled Finance Data Analyst Level 2 to join our team and provide valuable insights to drive financial decision-making.

Role Purpose: As a Finance Data Analyst Level 2, your primary responsibility will be to collect, organize, validate, and analyze financial data to inform key strategic and tactical decisions. Your insights will play a crucial role in shaping our financial strategies and optimizing our business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to understand business requirements and data needs for financial decision-making.
• Collect, validate, and transform financial data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct in-depth analysis using advanced statistical techniques.
• Design and develop reports, Excel models, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate meaningful insights to stakeholders.
• Present and effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
• Identify areas for process improvement in data collection, data structure, data governance and analysis.
• Investigate and report on financial trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Plan and execute financial data analysis projects.
• Escalate any risks that may impact the quality and timeliness of deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma/Degree in Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in Data Analysis or a similar role.
• Proven experience working with SQL, Power Query, Power BI, Excel or similar tools
• Intermediate knowledge of financial principles and concepts required.
